McAlister's Deli Game Summary - PFOL 5 - Week 3

Team 5 – 33
Team 3 – 44

Indianapolis – Team 3 improved to 2-1 on the season despite playing without Richie Smith. In a game which saw poor shooting from both teams, Eric Flatt was able to score 20 points and grab 20 rebounds. “I haven’t seen this many missed layups since Team 3 played last week”, said League Commissioner Alan Mowrey.

Michael Glaser continued to make his case for Most Improved Player as he scored 14 points.

Team 5 drops to 0-2 and will look for their first win of the season against the league’s other 0-2 team (Team 2) on Thursday.


Team 1 – 61
Team 2 – 44

Indianapolis – Eric Cole had a breakout game for Team 1 as he and Edmound Elzy cruised past Team 2. Cole had 16 points on 8 of 11 shooting while Edmound Elzy had an impressive line with 14 points, 14 Rebounds and 7 assists.

“I’m not happy that Eric Cole scored more points than Edmound Elzy, but Edmound Elzy is happy that Eric had a good game. Edmound Elzy feels he might be our 2nd best player on our team”, said Edmound Elzy.

When asked for a comment Troy Brokl tipped over a water cooler and stormed out of the gym.

Team 2 dropped to 0-2 on the season and there are rumors that they are looking to make a trade before the Week 4 trading deadline. Team 2 played without small forward Rob Laycock who missed the game to go on vacation. Marty Lande voiced his displeasure with Laycock’s decision to miss the game in the locker room after the game. “I hope he had a good vacation while we were here picking up his slack”.

Team 2 will try to avoid going 0-3 as they face the winless Team 5 on Thursday.
