McAlister's Deli Game Summary - Week 6

Baston Jacks 50
Forecasted Showers 48

Forecasted Showers missed 3 free throws in the last 50 seconds that setup a game winning shot by Jason McGuinness with 4.1 seconds left that gave Baston Jacks a 50-48 win.

Baston Jacks originally wanted to get the ball in the post to Alan Mowrey but swung the ball along the perimeter before the ball finally landed in McGuinness' hands. He didn't hesitate and drained the 17 foot jump shot to give Baston Jacks the lead.

Baston Jacks improves to 4-2 and are tied for the best record in the league with 3-Peat. Forecasted Showers drop to 1-5 on the season and learned after the game that they are losing Cameron Monnier for the season.

Edmound Elzy lead all scorers with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Eric Flatt missed the game, as he chose to go to lunch over playing with his team. "This is what happens when you have a bad record. People stop caring - Flatt would rather go eat turkey than try to get us a win", said Elzy.

Baston Jacks were lead by Alan Mowrey with 19 points and Jason McGuinness 13. Pat Sullivan was held to career low 6 points but managed to grab 18 rebounds and dish out 10 assists.

Patriot League Bombers 62
3Peat 45

Despite a horrible shooting by John Griffin in the first half, the Patriot League Bomber found their shooting touch in the second half and torched 3 Peat 62-45. Griffin was 0-10 from 3-point range but immediately found his range in the 2nd half. He ended up with a game high 33 points and 17 rebounds.

3 Peat clearly missed the presence of Jake Vernon who is out for 3-6 weeks with a slight fracture of a bone in his foot. 3 Peat also lost Zach Wogtech during the game to injury and they later learned that he will miss the entire season with a Grade 3 ankle sprain.

3-Peat drops to 4-2 and into a tie with Baston Jacks for the best record in the league. PLB improves to 3-3.

The next games are scheduled for Monday as Baston Jacks take on PLB, and 3-Peat take on Forecasted Showers.
