PFOL 4 Week 3 Recap

Team 2 - 32
Team 3 - 29

Team 3 had a wide open look at a 3 by Krol Kyle at the buzzer that would have sent the game to overtime but his shot didn't fall and Team 2 escaped with a 3 point victory on Tuesday afternoon.

The game a was defensive blood bath as each team had over 20 fouls. The score was deadlocked at 10-10 at half time. When asked to comment on the lack of scoring, league commissioner Alan Mowrey said, "My son's 4th grade team scores more than this. This is not good for our league".

The scoring picked up in the last few minutes of the game as Elzy push the lead to 7 with 4 minutes left to play.

Elzy scored 18 of his team's 32 points.

Team 1 - 79
Team 4 -54

Team 1 used a 20-0 run in the first half to build a lead that they never relinquished. They had 5 players score in double figures with Eric Flatt leading the way with 24 points and 15 rebounds.

Poor shooting only complicated the problem for Team 4. "We just couldn't get anything going on offense," said Steve Reitan.

Team 1 improves to 3-0 and Team 4 falls to 2-1. "If people want to call them the best team go ahead, I'm up for the challenge" said Nathan Burger.
